Hi Everyone.
I've posted my rough sketches and concepts for the photomontage project below. Of the three concepts, I was leaning toward the center one which would depict a guitar neck/dock leading out into the water, with a sky incorporating various layers of clouds, textures, and musical notes. I noticed yesterday that Jessica's project was amazingly similar to what I had envisioned and used many of the same elements, so I may go with the bottom concept, which is a guitar neck breaking through a "wall" or "glass" with a surreal environment on the other side. I wanted to include nature elements in one of my compositions, and after looking through the future projects this one seemed to offer the most flexibility. I hope to capture a bit of surrealism while incorporating musical elements - without being too literal in my interpretation. I'm still thinking about the band/artist name and will include it on the finished project. I see that the quality of the scanned images are somewhat light - I'll make my sketches darker next time so they show up better after being scanned.
